Charity
The general public rarely see the charitable side of Freemasonry, and in particular, donations made by Freemasons to local charities. Charity is an integral part of masonic training, and is strongly emphasised during our ceremonies.
The members of Lodge Royal Stuart 893 (Scottish Constitution) recently donated $1000 to The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association of WA, to assist in the development of their Guide Dog Training programme in Western Australia. A number of brethren from Lodge Royal Stuart toured the Association for the Blind of WA facilities in Victoria Park on 30th June 2000, and were deeply moved at the scale of the operation. It further emphasised the need for continued support to this excellent cause – with financial and volunteer support continually being sought.
